Sunnydale Slayers vs. Daly's Rejects kicked off the first Season 5 opener!!! Lets start off with the one and only Daly's Rejects lineup Center-Ix DeaDWrong xl Rw- OP Jelly Lw-Saint 0420 Ld- Spud Rd- athompson G- Walker Now for the other squad (Chewy’s Squad): C- DustyRytStyk Rw- Chew Therapy Lw- JoeSto Ld- M00SE21 Rd-Bongkarma Goalie-Midogaron Alright let’s get down to business here… Game #1: Daly’s Rejects come out hard dead wrong feeds it to jelly for the one timer and bang like that it’s one nothing. Then the rejects come together to score another goal soon after. Then Chews squad try to make a comeback after that but fall short and the final score is 4-3 in favor of Dal’s Rejects. Key Notes from game 1: -Jelly puts together his first hat trick of the season -Walker has a solid game in net -Reject’s are 1-0 a this point Moments after the Rejects figure out they won their first game Game #2: Daly’s rejects just don’t perform to their standards and end up losing this one no biggie just sendie. Key Notes from game 2: -Chew’s team won Game #3: At this point Daly’s Rejects realize that they need this game to win the series. Chew’s team scores early and they take the lead 3-1 going into the third period. As we waited for that last period to start we said to each other were not letting them take this one easily. So we went out scored one early but the second one was not going in until the last minute in the third where jelly passes it to spud and he rips it home with the one timer from the point. We went into overtime knowing that we want the win. So early in the period Walker makes some big saves to keep us in it then we go down and shoot one low and then Jelly nets the rebound in for the overtime game winner. Key Notes from game #3: -Jelly puts together another hat trick - Spud nets his first goal of the season -Walker won his first series in net -Daly’s Rejects have won their first series and are now 2-1 on the season. Since none of us were mentioned in any kind of media before the draft, we went undrafted. We have become, the rejects if you will of the league as a new expansion team. Many root for us like they root for the kid with down syndrome to fiinish a race. We came out the gate firing, we let up some goals, we won the series. Btw we won with a back up g. Anywho, I just want to thank each and every captain and the reigning champ for overlooking us. We look forward to playing all of you. You rejecting us makes us play harder, faster and with more determination. Chew, good luck the rest of the season, hopefully you get more than a pylon in net. Sorry you had to be the first victims, with a musical chairs line up and a g who couldn't stop a bus with a tank....hopefully things turn around. So, thank you all again and one final....
