Welcome back 239 for a super quick turnaround season before the new game drops. I am going to do a quick PR, not as detailed as I usually do because I am tired AF and this baby and switching back to nights is kicking my ass. Last to first, let’s go
Back Door Bangers
Captain: quong
Best value – monstar jay 13 bods, brofitz 6 bods
Worst value – Rawb 50 mother fucking holy shit bods
Quong had a couple good bids, but wayyy overbid on rawb when guys like JC went for the same price. Not a big star on the team, and mediocre depth. Very low ceiling
Blades of Heels
Captain: Cob
Best Value – Weazle 11 bods
Worst Value – bidding himself up lol
Everyone knew who cob wanted. Cob once again wouldn’t make the bod floor without bidding himself up. I think it’s safe to say we all like cob and want to see him do well. So here is my advice to you for the future.. If you know you want to get your guys and they will go for cheap, why don’t you go bid on guys like JC/Kane/big difference makers on defense. You have the bods, start spending them. Chem line, blah blah they aren’t a threat to anyone but will probably stay close in games most of the time
Those Guyz
Captain: Choco
Best value – Carpy 38 bods
Worst value – not capitalizing on your good bids
Choco pops his captain cherry, which is long overdue. He gets fantastic value in probably the best natural center on the board in carpy. He also drafts another great center in Rocko for a good value, but he is also good utility. Not sure how this lineup works out, if rocko is on forward they have a pretty bad defense, if he is on defense they have a very subpar forward lineup. It’s a shame I think he was close to a great great team but didn’t go for the cheaper value guys he should have.
The Gizzard Kings
Captain: Scary Terry
Best value – JC 50 bods
Worst value – end of draft wasted opportunity
Terry finally gets his chance to come back to captaining. He starts strong as hell with a cheap JC and then value in Lemanski. He also gets great value in freak for under 10 bods. He realllllly had an opportunity to probably get a better defenseman than the hawnkster. Everyone looks at this team and salivates over the right side. I see lots of goals both for and against this team.
Toxic Attraction
Captain: Ace’s hole
Best Value – Fung 12 bods suzuki 10 bods
Worst value – none
I actually think Ace did a fantastic job in this draft. We kind of knew where he wanted to go with it, but he got great value in his role players. Fung is definitely capable at forward and so is coot. The “extra guy” here actually is Ace, I wonder if he will sit himself to chase a cup when needed, like many other captains should do more often if they care about winning.
Big Stick Energy
Captain: Pale
Best Value – seije, schemmm, ando, part time weeeeeee
Worst value – probably kelch tbh
Pale gets his guy in wizzy, and then surrounds him with good part time talent all around. I wouldn’t necessarily want to be in this locker room but on ice they will be fine if they don’t kill each other. Very good pieces, seije is gross at 7 bods, these guys have backups better than most team’s starters. Problem is, pale can’t ever fucking win, but he has a good shot this time.
Daddy Daycare
Captain: vetts/pens
Best Value – Kane 30 bods RD, rocky 6 bods PT, brod 6 bods PT
Worst Value – these idiots thinking they can compete while on forward
Do we have the best team? Idk probably not. Love the game 7 lineup, otherwise a lot of shuffling going on here. Top talent on LW and RD, good part time pieces, solid lineup that I am pretty happy with considering the draft pool.
