AS 2 juggernauts set to faceoff there was excitement and anticipation. Was it the friendly shit talk before the series? Perhaps the possibility of a glimpse into the finals or seeing if another team deletes nhl in shame of losing to Kelch. The hype was around Johnny Bales return and if gbaby would get out the corner.
Game 1 saw the Replacements lose the crowd early with chants of free Gbaby.
SB was relentless in their attack motivated by playing Kelch and anover. Killzone was quoted after game as saying, “yea if i lost to kelch i would’ve had to quit nhl and stick to mlb”.
But SB, like all great teams, would have to battle some adversity. Some bad connection, saw guys lagging, and Pale and Choco lag out but SB hold on to win
Game 2 would see SB dominate with the home crowd chanting Rat for heart, Pale for Selke, and J for vezina SB would crush the Replacements.
Game 3 SB drunk on kelsh jokes and victory would play loose hockey for the first 2 periods.
With some good play by the Replacements you could see how there able to backpack kelch to second place in the standings. Despite some goals in the 3rd by SB, they would fall short of a comeback.
